Blantyre Sports Club outgoing vice captain Bardon Mbera took a bow in style after winning Packaging Industries Limited Ball Pool held on 12th October 2011 at Blantyre Sports Club.
Mbera scored 21 points to beat 55 golfers to win his second PIM sponsored golf title.
Paul Chidale's 19 points landed him on second position after he was counted in while Noel Lipipa took the last spot in the prize-winning bracket on third with the same points.
But Lipipa was pipped to third position after he was counted out by the former development golfer great.
In the ladies category, Arnes Araujo won the title with Teri Amaro finished on second position.
Prominent lawyer John Gift Makhwawa won nearest to the pin on hole number one while Chidale also got longest drive on hole number six.
Outgoing captain Justice John Katsala applauded PIM for sponsoring the tournament at short notice.
"We had 55 golfers which is a good number. We thank PIM for this sponsorship," Justice Katsala said.
PIM marketing manager Nyankhoko Nsona thanked the golfers and BSC committee for making the tournament successful.
Nsona, who is also a golfer, said the participants had fun.
PIM managing director Symon Itai said the idea to sponsor the ball pool was hatched last week after the company learnt that there was no one to sponsor the competition this week.
