Polytechnic Student wins PIM Ball Pool Golf

The weather was good and the greens were fine is what every Golfer said when PIM organized a Wednesday Ball Pool on 23rd June 2010 which saw youngster Golfer Chimwemwe Chimwaza taking home the first prize.

Chimwaza scored 22 points to beat a field of 45 golfers and went home with a Bale of 2 ply Twinsaver, Folder, Golf shirt and a branded Pen.

In his speech he thanked God for letting him win the tournament saying it took him so long to win a championship.

“I thank the sponsors, my playing partners and of course my dad will be happy that I have won,” said Chimwaza.

Trailing behind him was Donbell Mandala with 20 points counted-in while John Gift Mwakhwawa finished third with 20 points counted out.

In the ladies category Margaret Mkwanda became the winner with 20 points.

PIM Marketing Manager Nyakhoko Nsona thanked the golfers for turning out on the chilly day.

“Having all of you here on a day like this is something we don’t take for granted,” said Nsona.
